Church of your choice
Have you noticed that the church has become commercialized, branded and marketed to the point where it is just another option among many? I mean you can get your choice of speakers, music, beliefs, cultures, groups, clubs or anything else. You can even get a cowboy church, biker church, gothic church or any other genre if that's to your liking. Of course there has always been Baptist, Pentecostal, Presbyterian, Episcopalian, Catholic, Methodist, Lutheran etc.. and multiple branches of each of these groups.
Do you want organized, unorganized denominational, nondenominational, independent? No worries we've got you covered. We have Oneness, Twoness and Trinitarian. You can get fully submerged in water while being baptized or just sprinkled on. Or if water baptism is not your thing someone will accommodate you. Tongues or no tongues? Holiness or not? There's a church for you. Many of the big name preachers have even said that Christians, Muslims, Buddhist, Hindu, Sikh etc.. are all serving the same God and will go to heaven.
But what does the bible say?
A very wise preacher once asked a simple, but profound question. He asked "but what does the bible say?"
I think this is a very good question. Don't you? The bible is the foundation in which we should base everything that we believe on. If the bible doesn't support it book, chapter, verse than it should suspect to say the least. John 5:39
39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
There is only "ONE"
Is everyone that calls on the name of the lord going to heaven?
Jesus said in Matthew 7:22-23
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Matthew 7:13-14
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
The way the truth
Rom 12:4-5, 1 Cor 10:17, 12:12-13, 12:20, Eph 2:16, Col 3:15 all say there is only one body
What makes the body "THE body"?
There is a simple answer to this question. "THE head".
Notice how many times through the scriptures it says "The" and not "a"
1 Corinthians 11:1-4
...the head of every man is Christ
Ephesians 5:23
...Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
Colossians 1:18, 23,
And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel,...
